Otto Names Zeynep Young
as New CEO

Otto is pleased to announce that Zeynep Young has been named CEO. Ms. Young has served as CEO of several venture-stage companies, recently leading government technology platform Calytera until its sale to Granicus in 2020. She succeeds Otto Co-Founder Steven Carter, who assumes a new role overseeing customer experience and remains on the company’s executive leadership team and board of directors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Zeynep Young as Otto’s new CEO. Throughout her career, Zeynep has distinguished herself as a great builder of technology-enabled businesses and leader with a highly successful track record. As Otto reaches a new phase in its incredible growth trajectory, this is the right time for an executive with Zeynep’s expertise to lead the company and take it to new heights. Price and I are excited to support Zeynep and her management team in every way possible.”– Steven Carter

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Otto at this very exciting time in its history. The unprecedented increase in pet ownership during the COVID-19 pandemic has placed significant pressure on veterinary clinics. Otto’s engagement platform streamlines workflows such as scheduling, communications, payments, and remote care to improve operations and reduce pressures on clinic staff. I am excited to collaborate with our outstanding team to scale our business, and improve clinic operations for the benefit of veterinarians, pet parents and pets.” – Zeynep Young

Prior to Calytera, Ms. Young was Founder and CEO of Double Line Inc. She previously served as a Portfolio Director for the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and as an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Co. Ms. Young has been an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist and was named to the Forbes list of Women Who Build Outstanding Companies.
